Today All Prayers Were Offered to Buddha Shakyamuni

“Ik Yöräl” has begun at the Central Khurul. This morning the monks, led by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, offered their prayers to the Great Teacher, recited texts praising the miraculous deeds of Buddha Shakyamuni, and called upon all the Bodhisattvas and Protectors of the Teaching with a request to grant everyone a happy life.

“These three days, March 12, 13 and 14, are very important days for all of us. During this period it is auspicious to visit temples and holy places, to perform virtuous deeds with sincere motivation, to be a cause for the creation of good, and, most importantly, when turning to the Burkhans, to think of all living beings,” noted the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Geshe Tenzin Choydak, before the start of the prayer service.

Today’s prayer gathering lasted almost three hours. Surely everyone felt that invisible strong connection with our Great Teacher, receiving his blessing.

Tomorrow “Ik Yöräl” will continue. It will also be held in two sessions. It begins at 9:00.
