Today Kalmykia Celebrates ZUL

“Авсн наснтн өлзәтә болтха! Зуңква гегәнә хәәрнд багтад, зун нас наслҗ, зун намр үзж йовхитн олн Деедс евәтхә” — with such well-wishes from the Abbot of the Central Khurul, Geshe Mutul, today’s prayer service dedicated to the national holiday Zul began.

The faithful, together with the monks, offered up their prayers for the benefit of all living beings, especially asking for peace and prosperity

On such a day it is important to light butter lamps, perform spiritual practices, and, of course, recite mantras. On this day the Kalmyks turn especially to Lama Tsongkhapa.

The monastic Sangha of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia congratulates all residents on this sacred holiday of Zul. It wishes prosperity in families, sound health, harmony, and understanding in the new year
