Today People Turned to White Tara with Requests for Longevity and Well-Being
The savior goddess who grants longevity and protects from disasters and illnesses. Today, in the main Buddhist temple of Kalmykia, all prayers were offered to White Tara. It was to her that the first of the five life-prolonging rituals “Nas utdullhn” was dedicated.
As the monks of the Central Khurul explain, White Tara, the deity of activity, despite her power, is very close to everyone, without exception. It is not for nothing that she is called the Seven-Eyed One: her 7 eyes allow her to “see” all living beings. Therefore, recite the mantra of White Tara: Om tare tuttare ture mama ayur punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha, turn to her, make offerings.
Today, “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” was crowded. The faithful gathered on all three levels, and for 2.5 hours a special prayer service addressed to the goddess of longevity White Tara was held. At the end, everyone was offered pills and a longevity drink that had been consecrated during the ritual.
Tomorrow, on November 30, the life-prolonging rituals will continue. The start is at 9.00. Dear faithful, when coming to the temple during these days, each of us must understand that the main goal of prolonging one's years is not only a long, happy life, but also the opportunity to perfect oneself on the path of spiritual development for as long as possible, thereby bringing benefit to all living beings.
