Today the sand mandala consecration ceremony was held at the Central Khurul

Today the final stage of building the sand mandala at the Central Khurul took place. The monks held the consecration ceremony of the Buddhist sacred object, thereby inviting the Medicine Buddha into the palace built and dedicated to him.

Over the next two weeks anyone wishing may visit the main Buddhist temple of Kalmykia and contemplate the mandala. According to the clergy, even simply walking around it with a virtuous motivation is already a great treasure and merit. Reverence and worship of the sacred object is equal to a meeting with the Deity, and everyone can receive the blessing of the Medicine Buddha himself.

We recall that the dismantling of the sand mandala will take place on October 29. This process symbolizes the impermanence of all material things and phenomena.
