Tsahan Darkin nasni butal

Today the long-life rituals continued at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia. Today it was performed through the goddess White Tara; the monks read Tsahan Darkin nasni butal.

As Anzha-Gelung noted before the start of the ritual, it is very important at this moment for everyone together to recite the mantra of White Tara: “Om tare tuttare ture mama ayur punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha,” while offering prayers to obtain a long and full life not only for oneself and one's loved ones, but for all living beings.

It should be said that the energy that characterizes the goddess is healing, health, and longevity. White Tara is associated with tenderness, patience, a peaceful disposition, and devotion. The goddess treats living beings in a motherly way, all of them without exception. Among our people she is called “Hurdn Dark,” meaning that the help of White Tara comes after one turns to her through the mantra.

At the conclusion of the ritual, all the faithful were given pills of longevity, which received a blessing during the prayers that were read. It is believed that they help remove all obstacles to a long and happy life. This pill, endowed with a special power, must be brought home and shared among all members of the family.

Haarhn, bidn tsuhar Tsahan Darkin evald kurtkha!
