“Tsogt Okn Tengrin shinin balng örgh yosn.”
The first festive prayer service was held at the Central Khurul. From 3:00 in the morning the monks and the faithful recited praises to the goddess Okon Tengri, calling upon her to bestow her kind blessing upon all living beings and to continue to guard the well-being of the world.
Tsogt Okon Tengri is one of the principal protectors of the Dharma, the patroness of our people. It is believed that on the first lunar day of the month of the Dragon the goddess descends to the earth. And it is precisely on this day, in the pre-dawn hours, that it is important to perform the ritual of offering balng (special offerings made of dough).
At the moment of the offering the clergy recite a special prayer with the request to remove all obstacles, illnesses and misfortunes, and to increase the lifespan and merit of living beings.
The monastic Sangha of the Central Khurul congratulates all the residents of our republic on the arrival of the White Month, which everyone eagerly awaits and with which they associate their hopes for the better and the bright.
They wish every family strong health, well-being and tranquility.
Tsahan sarin bayran säänär tosj, tsugtan mend-amulng bäätskhä!
