Two great rituals to be held at the Central Khurul ahead of Tsagan Sar
Ahead of the national holiday of Tsagan Sar, two great rituals — Kangso and Hurvn khüv — will be held at the Central Khurul. “Kangso” is a ritual performed on the 29th lunar day, the day of the Protectors of the Dharma — Säküsnä ödr. On this day the monks recite praises to all the Säküsn and make offerings with a request to grant all living beings a happy life. Incidentally, it is precisely on this day that it is important to present the golden drink Serjm to all the Protectors of the Teaching. The ritual begins at 9:00 a.m. From 1:00 p.m. the rite aimed at removing obstacles and ailments — “Hurvn khüv” — will begin. For this, at “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” all the faithful will be handed pieces of dough, which a person passes over their face, body, and aching spots. The whole point is to be cleansed of accumulated negativity. Perhaps that is why this ritual is performed ahead of Tsagan Sar, which symbolizes not only the arrival of spring but also renewal. Important❗️ there is no need to bring dough from home. It will be handed out on site, at the khurul.
