Two Large White Kibitkas Adorn the Grounds of the Central Khurul

Two large white kibitkas now adorn the grounds of Kalmykia’s main Buddhist temple. One of them now houses the shop selling Buddhist items, which was previously located in the foyer of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” while the other holds the “History of Buddhism in Kalmykia” museum. In recent days preparatory work has been under way, with museum staff arranging the exhibits and display stands. Today the museum received its first visitors.

As residents and guests of the republic noted, it has become very convenient and beautiful. And indeed, the national flair of the kibitkas immediately catches the eye of everyone entering the khurul grounds. The staff themselves note that it has become even cozier and more spacious.
