Venerable Yeshe Lodoy Rinpoche Has Passed Away

With deep sorrow we announce that the venerable Yeshe Lodoy Rinpoche has passed away. He departed in his 82nd year🙏

Shajin Lama Geshe Tenzin Choydak and the Monastic Sangha of Kalmykia express their deep condolences to all the faithful. “This is a great loss for the entire Buddhist world. Yeshe Lodoy Rinpoche was a truly great Teacher, a strong practitioner, a master of tantra, and a scholar of Buddhist philosophy. For many years the venerable Rinpoche visited our Republic, led the annual tantric rituals, and devoted himself to helping all sentient beings,” noted Geshe Tenzin Choydak.

Yeshe Lodoy Rinpoche was born in Tibet in 1943. At the age of three he was recognized as the fourth reincarnation of Elo Rinpoche.

From the age of six he began his studies at a monastery. At seven he took monastic vows, at eleven he began studying Buddhist philosophy, and at the age of thirteen he continued his studies at Drepung Gomang Monastery. A great many faithful from all over the world attended his Teachings and listened to his instructions on Buddhist philosophy…
