What does the coming year hold for us?
Starting as soon as tomorrow, November 18, the annual life-extension rituals “Nas utdullhn” begin at the main Buddhist temple.
By tradition, they are held on the eve of the national holiday ZUL. Over the next three weeks, on weekends, 6 rituals are planned, during which the monks and the faithful will offer prayers to the three deities of longevity: Amitayus, Ushnishavijaya and White Tara.
And today we spoke with a respected monk of the Central Khurul, the astrologer Sanan-Gelung Matvenov, who told us in great detail about the coming Year of the Wooden Dragon, about who first and foremost needs to extend their years (those born in the Year of the Dragon, Dog, Ox and Sheep), and about how these rituals and the prayers offered are aimed at raising the vital energy that is necessary for health and vigor. Therefore, by and large, these prayers are beneficial for all the years without exception. “The Year of the Dragon is coming. I would like to recommend that everyone work very hard this year, because it is often precisely the Year of the Dragon that is prosperous; the energy of the material and financial component of the year is very strong. But whether or not you realize it depends largely on individual actions: whether a person will try to do something, or simply sit idle. Besides this, the Year of the Dragon can also be difficult in relationships with people, this concerns both the outer circle of contacts and the inner one. There will also be much joy in it. Here it is important to look at things individually, in the correlation of the years with the coming year.
Many questions are asked: “which years first and foremost need to extend their years?”. First of all, these are people born precisely in the Year of the Dragon, as well as the Year of the Dog, Ox and Sheep. And also the years that are in a good correlation with the Year of the Dragon - the Year of the Mouse and the Monkey.
In any case, everything is individual; it will be beneficial for each person to come to the khurul on these days and offer prayers to our deities of longevity”, - noted Sanan-Gelung.
Tomorrow, November 18, the long-life prayer service of Buddha Amitayus - Tsaglsh uga nasni sudr - will take place. It begins at 9.00.
