Wishing a good rebirth...

Weekly, on Fridays, in the afternoon, the traditional Friday service - the memorial prayer service - is held at “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”. On this day the khurul is always crowded. People bring offerings to their ancestors, to their departed relatives, together with the monks raising their prayers to all the Burkhans, wishing at the same time a better rebirth for those who are no longer with us. In Kalmyk this is called “Yöräl avkhulkh”…

As the clergy themselves note, when raising prayers or making offerings it is important to dedicate all of it to the Three Jewels, all the Burkhans and Säküsns  on behalf of the departed person, asking to grant them the best in the new rebirth🙏
