Kalmykia to Offer Prayers for the Long Life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama

For three days, on July 2, 3, and 5, at the Central Khurul, the monks together with the faithful will offer their prayers for the long life of the Precious Teacher — the Dalai Lama. This will mark the beginning of the grand festive ceremonies in honor of the 90th anniversary of the spiritual leader of all Buddhists.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the long-life ritual “Dolkar Tsedub.” The monks of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” will ask the deity of longevity — White Tara — to grant His Holiness robust health and to remove all obstacles to the practice of the Dharma, so that the Dalai Lama may continue for many long years to remain the hope and support of us all, teaching and guiding.

The rituals on these days begin at 11.30. The daily morning prayer services are also held at 9.00.
