Starting June 28, lectures by the High Teacher, Geshe Lharampa Jagba Gyatso, will begin at the Central Khurul

Three times a week, over the course of 3 months, the venerable Geshe Lharampa Jagba Gyatso will bestow Teachings upon the faithful of Kalmykia. The high guest arrived in Elista the day before at the invitation of our Shajin Lama. This is his second visit to the Buddhist republic. We recall that for many years Geshe Lharampa Jagba Gyatso has been teaching at the oldest Buddhist monastery-university, Drepung Gomang.

The lecture program is very rich. The Teacher will begin with Kunkhyen Jamyang Shepa’s book “A Concise Summary of the Great Guide to the Stages of the Path to Awakening.” Anyone who wishes may take part in the Teachings. For those outside the republic, the khurul will try to arrange video recording.

So, the first lectures are scheduled for the coming weekend: on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29 at 16.00. The following Wednesday, July 2, the sessions will continue, but now at 18.00.
