Today the second life-extension ritual “Nas Utdullhn” was held at the Central Khurul

Today is the 8th lunar day, so today’s life-extension ritual “Nas Utdullhn” began with a prayer addressed to Green Tara. She was praised, offerings were made, and her help was asked for well-being. After that, a prayer service dedicated to Buddha Amitayus began. As in previous years, the monks recited the sutra “Tsaglsh uga nasni sudr” (the Sutra of the Infinite Life of Buddha Amitayus).

This deity is mainly petitioned with prayers for a long and happy life, for health and wealth; however, it is important to understand that removing obstacles capable of shortening life is necessary in order to be able to progress on the path of spiritual development for as long as possible.

We remind you that everyone is welcome to take part in these rituals held on the eve of the national holiday Zul, but it is especially important to extend the years of people born in the Year of the Snake, Pig, Tiger, and Monkey. The next ritual will take place next week, on Saturday, December 14. It will be dedicated to Ushnishavijaya, the goddess of longevity.
